Three Injured in Heartland Car Crash on FM 741

Heartland, California (May 20, 2019) – Three people were hurt in a crash involving two vehicles on Saturday morning in Heartland, according to the DPS.

The wreck happened at about 6:15 a.m. May 18, on FM 741 near Moonlight Trail.

DPS said a black Nissan Altima was heading north on FM 741 when it drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Chevy Malibu.

Two people were trapped in the wreckage and were extricated by the fire crews.

The drivers of both vehicles sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to Methodist Medical Center in Dallas. A third person was taken to Baylor.

The DPS is conducting an investigation into the incident.
