Garland, Texas (April 23, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a driver who fled the scene after the incident on Sunday night in Garland, according to the Garland police.

The crash happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. April 21, in the area of Broadway Boulevard and Oates Road.

Police said the pedestrian was in the southbound lanes crossing Broadway when he was struck by a vehicle whose driver failed to stop at the scene and render aid.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

There was no description on the vehicle involved in the accident.
