San Benito, Texas (April 21, 2019) – A young teen was killed and two others injured in a traffic collision involving an ATV in San Benito on Saturday night, according to the DPS.

The wreck happened at Oyama Road & FM 800 on Saturday, April 20.

DPS said a 14-year-old girl was driving an ATV when she failed to yield to the right of way at the intersection and was hit by a Nissan Frontier pick up.

The driver of the ATV died in the collision. Two passengers in the ATV were taken to Valley Baptist Medical Center with critical injuries.

The DPS is currently investigating the collision.
