34-Year-Old Tristan Stewart Killed in Amarillo Motorcycle Crash on 9th Avenue and Bushland Avenue

Amarillo, Texas (May 6, 2019) – A 34-year-old motorcycle rider was killed in a collision involving a vehicle on Sunday evening in Amarillo.

According to a report by the Amarillo Police Department, the crash happened at 9th Avenue and Bushland Avenue May 5.

Police said Tristan Dave Stewart, 34, of Amarillo, was riding a 2005 Harley Davidson westbound on 9th Avenue when he lost control, for unknown reasons, and drifted into the eastbound side. The rider collided head-on with a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan.

Stewart was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Caravan sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Police who are investigating the incident said that speed may have been a factor.
