Tomas M. Saenz ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in El Paso Crash on Hondo Pass Drive and Dyer Street

El Paso, Texas (June 23, 2019) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car on Thursday in El Paso has been identified as Tomas M. Saenz, 74, according to the El Paso police.

The incident occurred at about 9:16 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, at the intersection of Honda Pass Drive and Dyer Street.

Police said Saenz was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a 2014 Nissan Murano driven by Juan Antonio Leon, 60.

Saenz suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Leon remained at the scene and rendered aid to the victim.

The incident remains under investigation.
