55-Year-Old Ronald Waller Killed in Athens Crash on Jeb Robinson

Athens, Texas (June 22, 2019) – 55-year-old Ronald Waller has been identified as the man who was killed in a traffic accident on Tuesday afternoon in Athens, according to a police report.

The incident was reported at around 3:00 p.m. June 18, in the 1000 block of Jed Robinson North Loop 7.

Police said a 2007 Freightliner tractor-trailer and a 2015 international tractor-trailer driven by Ronald Waller were involved in the collision.

Waller was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the Freightliner, 40-year-old Major Wiley, was taken to UT Health for treatment of his injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
