19-Year-Old River Russell ID’d as Man Killed in League City Crash on FM 270 South

League, Texas (June 27, 2019) – The man who was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident on Monday morning in League City has been identified as 19-year-old River Russell, according to League City police.

The crash was reported at around 3:00 a.m. June 24, near the 1800 block of FM 270 South.

Police said it was believed that Russell had been struck by a motor vehicle early Monday morning and his belongings were scattered across the roadway.

Russell was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

No further details on the crash were immediately released.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
