Police Officer Involved in Houston Car Crash on Main Street near South Loop

Houston, Texas (April 18, 2019) – A police officer was among three people injured in a traffic accident early Tuesday morning in Houston, as per a police report.

The crash took place at around 1:00 a.m. April 16, at 9200 Main Street near the South Loop.

Authorities said a vehicle traveling southbound on South Loop filed to stop for a red light at the intersection and collided with an unmarked police vehicle.

The officer and the two occupants of the civilian vehicle were all treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the civilian vehicle was cited for failure to stop for a red light.
