49-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Crash on Almeda Road

Houston, Texas (May 8, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a car on Thursday morning in Houston, according to a police report.

The fatal crash occurred at around 6:00 a.m. May 2, in the 8500 block of Almeda Road.

The Houston Police Department said a 49-year-old man was crossing the roadway when a black Toyota Camry traveling north along Almeda Road struck him.

The man was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with severe injuries and he succumbed to the injuries at the hospital.

The driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

The crash remains under investigation.
