One Injured in Lufkin Car Crash on U.S. Highway 59
Lufkin, Texas (May 25, 2019) – One person was injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Friday evening near Lufkin, according to the DPS.
The crash happened on northbound U.S. Highway 59 on Friday, May 24.
DPS said three vehicles, including an 18-wheeler, were involved in the chain-reaction collision. The crash was caused by one driver who crashed into the rear of another car, pushing it into a vehicle in front.
One of the involved motorists was transported to CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial for treatment.
Police arrested one of the drivers in connection with the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
