Lucy Connell Killed in Midland Car Crash on Highway 158 near County Road 1110

Midland, Texas (April 27, 2019) – A woman was killed in a traffic collision on Friday morning in Midland, according to a local news source.

The crash was reported at about 11:46 a.m. April 26, on Highway 158 south of County Road 1110.

Police said Lucy Connell, 29, of San Angelo, was driving a 2018 Nissan Titan west on Highway 158 while another driver was traveling west in a 2018 Western Stat truck.  Connell was at a shorter distance behind the car when she failed to control her speed and struck the rear of the vehicle.

Both drivers were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital, but sadly, Connell succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The crash is still under investigation.
