Oklahoma Woman Kim Yvonne Hayes Dies in Gregg County DUI Accident on SH 42

Gregg County, Texas (May 13, 2019) – A man was arrested and charged following a deadly DUI accident that left one person dead on Friday in Gregg County.

According to the authorities, the wreck happened on SH 42 Friday, May 10.

Investigators said Michael Dean Buenrostro, 61, of Longview, was driving northbound on SH 42 when, for unknown reasons, he drifted into the southbound side and collided with an oncoming pickup.

The driver of the pickup, Kim Yvonne Hayes, 61, of Wagoner, Oklahoma, was killed in the crash.

Buenrostro was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter. Reportedly, Buenrostro has a previous conviction for petty theft and a deadly conduct charge that was dismissed in 2015.

The crash is under investigation.
