Girl Hurt in Harris County Crash at Old Bammel North Houston and State Highway 249

Harris County, Texas (June 18, 2019) – A girl sustained major injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Harris County Monday night, deputes said.

The wreck happened just before 10 p.m. June 17, at Old Bammel North Houston and State Highway 249.

Deputies said one of the vehicles slammed into the rear of the other. Details on the events leading up to the crash were not immediately available.

One of the passengers in an involved Chevy HHR, identified as an 8-year-old girl, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center.

Investigators do not suspect alcohol to have played a role in the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
