Bowie Man Harold Norris Injured in Deadly Park Springs Collision on Texas 101

Park Springs, Texas (June 16, 2019) – A Bowie man was taken to a hospital following a deadly crash involving three vehicles Friday afternoon in Park Springs, according to a report by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The collision, which occurred around 3:40 p.m. June 14, took place on Texas 101 north of Chico.

Authorities said a 2002 Chevrolet pickup was heading south on Texas 101 when it drifted into the northbound side and collided head-on with a 2000 Chevrolet pickup. The 2002 Chevrolet also collided with an oncoming 2014 Chevrolet Cruz.

The 2000 Chevrolet was being driven by Harold E. Norris, 53, of Bowie. He was transported to Medical City Denton Hospital for treatment of his injuries..

The driver of the 2002 Chevrolet died at the scene of the accident.

Authorities are investigating the wreck.
