1 Killed, 2 Critically Injured in Dallas Crane Accident on Elan City Lights Department

Dallas, Texas (June 11, 2019) – A woman was killed and several others injured when a crane crashed into an apartment building on Sunday afternoon in Dallas, authorities said.

The incident was reported at around 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 9, on Elan City Lights Department.

According to Dallas Fire-Rescue, a crane collapsed due to intense storms that brought winds of up to 70mph. The crane tilted in the air before toppling and smashing into the five-story Elan City Lights Apartment across the street from the construction site.

One woman was found dead inside the apartment after the rescue crews swept the building.

Two other people were critically injured, two others seriously injured, and one person suffered minor injuries.

The incident is still under investigation.
