Carla Ontiveros-Lara Dies in Proctor Car Crash on Highway 67

Proctor, Texas (May 17, 2019) – A woman was killed in a fiery two-vehicle collision early Wednesday morning near Proctor, according to the DPS.

The wreck took place at about 5:14 a.m. Wednesday, May 15 on U.S. Highway 67.

According to investigators, 19-year-old Carla Teresita Ontiveros-Lara of Comanche was driving eastbound on the highway when, for unknown reasons, she drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided with a westbound vehicle.

Ontiveros-Lara was killed in the collision.

A 39-year-old Stephenville man who was driving the westbound vehicle was taken to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth with critical injuries. His passenger, a 41-year-old Stephenville man, was transported to Comanche County Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police are investigating the incident.
