Barbara Beagle and Kendrick Hartsfield ID’d as Victims of Smith County Crash on Toll 49

Smith County, Texas (May 11, 2019) –  Barbara Beagle, 62, and Kendrick Hartsfield, 41, have been identified as the drivers killed in a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon in Smith County, as per a police report.

The crash took place at about 12:30 p.m. May 8, on Toll 49 near Lindale.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said Beagle was traveling along the roadway when her vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a van driven by Hartsfield. Both vehicles were engulfed in flames.

Beagle and Kendrick were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
