Sylvia Rodriguez ID’d as Woman Killed in San Antonio Crash on 38th Street and Enrique Barrera Highway

San Antonio, Texas (May 26, 2019) – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the identity of the woman who was fatally hit by vehicles on San Antonio’s West Side Friday night.

Sylvia Rodriguez, 56, died in the collision that occurred at about 10:45 p.m. May 24 on 38th Street and Enrique Barrera Highway.

Police said Rodriguez was walking across the street when she was hit by a black pickup truck that was making a turn onto Enrique Barrera Highway from 38th Street. The victim was then struck by a white pickup truck.

Rodriguez was rushed to a hospital but died on the way.

The involved drivers reportedly stayed at the scene and rendered aid.

The crash is under investigation.
