Woman Injured in Bellmead Bicycle Crash on Interstate 35 Access Road

Bellmead, Texas (April 25, 2019) – A woman riding a bicycle was struck and injured by a vehicle on Wednesday evening in Bellmead, police said.

The collision occurred at about 5:20 p.m. April 23, on the northbound Interstate 35 access road.

Police said a 56-year-old woman was riding her bike southbound on the access road when she attempted to cross the road and was hit by a truck.

The woman sustained minor injuries in the crash but declined medical attention.

The police arrested the Waco man who was driving the truck involved. Police said the 33-year-old was arrested on outstanding warrants.

The authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
