San Angelo, Texas (April 23, 2019) – One person was transported to the hospital after being involved in a collision that occurred on Monday at a San Angelo intersection.

According to San Angelo police, the wreck happened at Knickerbocker Road and University Avenue on Monday, April 22.

Police said a Nissan Juke was traveling eastbound when it tried to make a turn onto University Avenue from Knickerbocker Road. The turn was made in front of a GMC Sierra, leading to the collision.

The GMC driver was taken to Community Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police cited the driver of the Nissan for failure to yield to the right of way.
